Lent posting for 16 march
Jesus goes off to a solitary place to pray.
A typical day for Jesus is exhausting, yet he got up early, while it was still dark, to pray.
In doing so Jesus is reminded of God's purpose for him. It is to go throughout Israel to preach the gospel.
It is hard to pray, to slow down and seek God's will. It is dying to ourself.
Yet this dying to oneself is key to true life.
